TYPED??

We had a french quiz on impressionists today and it was TYPED. ON A COMPUTER. My french teacher never has typed anything before except for the "Welcome to french _" we get every year. It's a technological miracle.

Apollo - Atmospheres and Soundtracks

I got this CD from Borders on 3/5. At first, it seemed a little dry, but like pretty much every ambient album, it really grows. The first half (side 1 on the original vinyl) is traditional ambient (think Steve Roach) and the second half incorporates Daniel Lanois' steel guitar. The second half (except for track 12) sounds more rock (Sigur Ros, maybe) than ambient, which is actually kind of a nice contrast with the spacey atmospheres on the first half. Overall, highly recommended.
